Formed in 2004, this auditioned community handbell ensemble is based in south-central Pennsylvania. They performed their inaugural concerts in Lebanon and Carlisle on April 30 and May 1, 2004.  The fourteen member group under the direction of Shawn Gingrich performs seasonally in the Spring and Winter on six-octaves of Malmark Handbells, Handchimes, and assorted other instruments.   

The Hershey Handbell Ensemble was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance while uniting people through this musical art.
